Vented vs. Ventless Gas Logs

Vented gas logs produce taller, more realistic flames and require an open damper and functioning flue. Ventless (vent-free) gas logs burn cleaner, produce more heat, and can operate with a closed damper, but some municipalities have ventless restrictions. We help you choose the right option for your home and local codes.

Top Brands We Install

We carry gas log sets from Real Fyre, Rasmussen, Grand Canyon Gas Logs, Monessen, and Empire. Each brand offers hand-painted ceramic fiber or refractory concrete logs in styles ranging from charred oak and birch to driftwood and Pacific Island wood. We size the log set to your firebox dimensions and match the burner BTU rating to your gas line capacity for safe, optimal performance.

Installation and Safety

Our technician installs a code-compliant gas shut-off valve within reach of the fireplace, connects a flexible gas connector rated for natural gas or propane, positions the log set per manufacturer specifications, and tests the system for gas leaks with an electronic combustible-gas detector. You receive a walkthrough on remote operation, flame adjustment, and annual maintenance before we leave.
