The safety standards the work follows

Every chimney inspection performed in Avalon follows NFPA 211, the national standard for chimney and fireplace safety, across whichever of the three inspection levels the situation calls for. Eco Grizzly is a licensed California contractor, and that license covers a routine Level I check the same way it covers a full Level II camera scan. The safety assessment is the same written document either way, covering the firebox, the damper, the crown, the cap, and the flue itself. License CSLB #1077111 backs every one of those inspections in Avalon.

Pricing before any work starts

A Level I inspection is $49 for new customers who book online, a visual assessment with no camera and no video scan. Code and safety questions, answered

Common questions answered by our certified technicians.

For an Avalon job, the Level I inspection runs $49 for new customers who book online. A sweep, when that's the actual job, starts at $199 on its own. Bigger jobs aren't priced in advance; those get quoted after the inspection once the flue's real condition is known.

Call or text (424) 258-9882 to book an Avalon chimney inspection. The Level I visit covers the firebox and damper and as much of the flue as a technician can reach, documented afterward in a written report.

An older masonry chimney and a newer factory-built unit get inspected differently: masonry gets checked for cracked mortar joints, a deteriorating crown, and flue tile condition, while a factory-built system gets checked at its listed clearances and the manufacturer-specified components. Either type on an Avalon property gets the same 21-point safety assessment and the same written report, just with attention paid to what that particular construction type is actually built from.
